Story so far

London is divided three divisions………… there are those that have absolutely no idea what is happening around them, that their great city hides a secret……….a kind of silent war….then there those fighting in the war, first the Helix a race of their own a tragic legacy from the devastating explosion that obliterated the countries capitol nearly 25 years ago, and then there are those who wish to keep humanity ……..well human, know as the H.S.T Helix serum task force they are resistant to change fearful of the unknown, mostly government led involving those know what was responsible for that frightful explosion that sunny day in March, they fight day and night disposing of evidence of a higher humanity……..they fight and kill what they consider to be the freaks of nature without compromise to hide a secret that would rock the world.

Now its your decision which are you ……..an innocent? Merely going about your everyday Life unknowing unseeing of whats around you but about to be given the wake u of your life? A Helix an poor unfortunate freak of nature, an accidental legacy left over from experiments gone wrong? Or are you H.S.T? Fearful of the unknown? Or fearful of the truth……

The stories of these people will unfold before our very eyes. Some will make us tearful while others will give us hope. Join us as their story is written and as the new world unfolds and we watch these misguided groups:

Embrace their destiny.

No Mary Sue characters, no one is perfect and every character has their flaws, whether emotional, physical or psychological. Often it is the flaws that make the characters and the more interesting their flaws, the more interesting the character itself.

You must use the template to create your character log, filling in all of the sections that are relevant. You cannot post in any of the Character boards until a member of staff has read and approved your bio. You may add things later on that you think are relevant to your characters or as they develop.

General Rules
Keep your posts in 3rd person. (Using the words 'he' and 'she' and 'they' instead of 'me' and 'i' and 'you'.)
Don't be too graphic or descriptive. Try to keep things on a downlow... I don't mind you having fun, but just don't go too overboard. If you go overboard and I will adjust your post and then tell you that it was too descriptive, etc. Leave some things to the imagination.
The only place everyday discussions are allowed is in the General Board, nowhere else.
IC (In Character) POSTS ONLY! Don't post out of character unless you absolutely need to, and then, if you do, type OOC (which means Out Of Character) and then write what you need say.
When you're in the General board, then post OOC! NO IC posts allowed!!!!
NPC's, (Non Person Characters) or other characters that you play within your post, ALWAYS go in a different color. (No glow, but a different color.)
On a note, please try to keep stuff Rated PG or R, descriptive, but not too descriptive. (Don't describe every single detail. Leave some things to the imagination.)
You must post a profile of your character first before doing anything else.

Fighting/Dueling
NO GODMODING! I know some people can be pretty powerful, but, please, be realistic.
If you are deuling or fighting, say your move, and the intention that you plan on your move making, and then wait for the other person to respond. As I said before BE REALISTIC HERE PEOPLE!
DO NOT make any decisions for your opponent. If they want their weapon to break, they'll break it. You cannot do it for them.
On a similar note, pay attention to post counts whne your fighting. Someone who's, let's say, has 250 posts cannot take on someone who has 500 posts and expect to win. Give me a break. THE ONLY WAY YOUR GONNA WIN IS IF THEY LET YOU AND THATS UNLIKELY
Discuss any powers that your character has with staff first and make sure you include them in your character application.
On another note, no one can kill another character without their permission.

Characters

Rules for HELIX

Please this is a site that is based on the realistically possible so characters cannot be too 'way out' Keep it simple keep it real is a favorite quote.

All Helix's were born with in ten years of the xplosion in London which means they MUST be between the age of 20 and thirty years old (maturity wise is entirely up to you I know some 30 year olds that are more like 15 year olds :) )

Rules for HUMANS,

Umm pretty much as above keep it simple keep it real and if you are human you cant suddenly become a Helix.

When in character, you must stay in character. If it is urgent, you may place your OOC text in double brackets at the bottom of your post. E.G ((OOC: Back in half an hour cya later!))

Towards Adminstrators and Moderators (Anywhere)

The Administrators of the site and the Moderators will take no tolerance for unfair behavior. You will be warned a few times, and then action will be taken.
The Admins and Mods are here to make this forum safe for everyone on it. Please don't argue with them. It's okay to agree to disagree, but don't argue.
Don't be afraid to ask for help or give suggestions. That's what we're for.

Towards Fellow Members (In Non-RPG Boards)
Please be courteous. It's always okay to agree to disagree, but please, don't argue. Either I or one of the Admins or Moderators will intervene if an argument or discussion gets out of hand and our word is final.
This goes along with the one above, don't diss a member's way of thinking or views. We are here to have fun rpging, not diss someone's views or anything. Same thing goes when discussing a topic, please, it's okay for someone to think differently than you. Everyone is entitled to an opinion or viewof their own

Topics/Threads/Subjects/Boards

NO SPAMMING! This is a total no no. If a post contains spamming, It will either be deleted or edited without warning. There is no reason to spam, so this is why this rule is so strict.
Stay on topic. Please post topics in the proper board. Your post will be moved otherwise.

Other
Please try to avoid having multiple accounts, it is possible to have another characetr but you MUST pm a member of staff for apprval BEFORE you create another character.
If you do not post for a month, and you give me no reason as to why you are not posting, your account will be deleted. You can easily rejoin later.

If you have any questions, PM a member of staff. We will be more than happy to help.
